Did I bite off more than I can chew?

Most-likely! There are 3 main pillars to making this business a success. Firstly, I have to have product to sell. Soaps take 4-6 weeks to cure so I’m planning that far in advance for upcoming events. I have other products that I also make (but are ready for sale almost immediately).

Secondly, I need to get this website built. Even though it’s plug and play, it is very time consuming. Figuring out just what I want to say or how I want to describe something is generally how my evenings go from 9pm on.

Lastly, there’s all the designing and purchasing of product packaging, marketing, physical set up for things like farmer’s markets etc.

Oh, and did I mention my husband is in active treatment right now? 4 week cycles of chemo.

You might think I’m insane to try and do all this at once. Sometimes even I think I am! But here’s the thing - my husband really wants to see me succeed at this. He gets excited finding opportunities to showcase my work (like farmer’s markets). He sees me building this mini empire and it makes him happy to see me doing something I absolutely love (every single stressful and fun part of it).

We don’t have a lot to celebrate these days, so I’m going to keep on keeping on for the joy it brings to both of our lives.
